Enjoyed reading your paper in the Interdisciplinary Journal of Knowledge and Learning Objects (http://ijklo.org/Volume1/v1p001-022Krauss.pdf) It was timely for me as I'm in the process of searching for a LO rationale for my workplace, a corporate environment. I assume that the LORI model is intended for asynchronous objects. Is that so? Are you aware of models that, like LORI, can be used for convergent participation, and yet will accomodate digital objects that are available both asynchronously and in a live, leader led online environment?

I suppose a secondary question might be, do you have any insights into how the process you've described in an academic enviroment might change in a business organization? Certainly the organizational processes will differ, as might learner motivations, environmental constraints, resourcing models, etc.

Cheers,
Christy
